Becoming a Licensed Addiction Counselor
TAADAC's Mission is to improve the quality and availability of substance-use disorder treatment and counseling for Middle-Tennessee residents.

A smart first step to successful licensure is to engage with a Licensed Qualified Clinical Supervisor as described in the following excerpt from the State Licensing Board Rules:
"4. The applicant must have completed six thousand (6000) hours of experience where the applicant has performed all of the eight (8) domains, as listed in TCA § 68-24-606, while providing alcohol and drug abuse counseling services under the direct supervision of a Qualified Clinical Supervisor who meets the requirements of the rules of the Board."
